Snake Hunt

Well.... I can say the two best things that happened at Qwest Field Sunday was that the rain stopped right as the game started, and the first play (Seneca to Korn-Ro), which
resulted in (unfortunately) the ONLY points the Seahawks saw, all day. I have to say - if it looked sloppy and confusing on TV, it was worse in person. Key missed tackles,
missed sacks.. grrr. I makes me now wonder if the guy who fell 35 feet in Qwest Field, at the end of the game, truly "fell" or?? Hmmm!

So...On Saturday, because JP (and others) were in SECURITY LOCKDOWN at Sea-Tac (always a FUN time ^_^), I killed some time waiting for him to arrive, by going out to and
looking around the lobby of the new VMAC training center. Once there, I looked under chairs, I looked in the potted plants, I looked in the bathrooms, and yet... I could not find
it. When asked by Mr. Mike Flood what it was I was seeking, I calmly explained that our Hawkers were simply curious where the snake was... you know, the one that keeps
jumping out and biting our players. The one that now has our team so decimated that we can barely field and sustain a starting unit, game to game. After JP arrived and as
we were walking through the facility, Mr. Flood noted, "worst injury season in his years with the Hawks." And, as if to emphasis the situation... out walks Matt Hasselbeck,
wearing practice shorts and a T-Shirt. Please note I said, "out walks Matt Hasselbeck." Contrary to popular belief, Matt is not in a wheelchair, not in a walker, nor on
crutches. This was a good site. Matt acknowledged us with a simple, "Hi. How are you" comment, as he continued on to workout, presumably on his back rehab.

Hawkers, I know it is tough to see our Hawks floundering, especially after playing so well for the last four consecutive years. It is tough knowing we are officially half-way
through the season and in unfamiliar territory b being three games out of first place. I know some would argue the season is over. But, I have to say... I still love the Hawks,
even if I too am not happy with the 2008 performance thus far.

I say, even though we are about to make some serious transitions in 2009, you need to keep the faith - win, lose, or draw.
