The Mat-Su Sea Hawkers again give Mat-Su Youth Football (MYFA) a $300.00 sponsorship check for the 2009 youth football season. MYFA is just one of the many Mat-Su Valley youth sport groups that Mat-Su Sea Hawkers proudly support. MYFA treasurer Andy Evans thanks all of the Sea Hawkers for the booster club’s continued financial support. Andy noted that MYFA is currently the largest youth football program in the state of Alaska and has more than 400 participants. Andy further noted that the MYFA organization fully supports Mat-Su Sea Hawkers efforts to help get an enclosed sports dome built here in the valley. An indoor training facility will make a huge difference in helping our local youth keep up training levels and help them be able to compete on a more even playing field with regard to their athletic competitions and endeavors. |
