| Greeting Hawkers - Mat-Su Sea Hawkers conducted our annual fund-raising raffle yesterday. And while we only sold 200 of our 300 tickets, we are happy for the funds we raised. We beat last years sales by about 70 tickets. This year's gross sales, before expenses, came to exactly $4000.00. After expenses Mat-Su Sea Hawkers will net approximately $3000.00 to add to our funding budget. WAY TO GO, HAWKERS!!!! I would like to personally thank all the people who contributed to our successful effort. Thank you to the people who donated the prizes. Thank you to the people who sold and/or purchased our raffle tickets. The money we raised helps our ability to contribute to various youth sport activities and scholarships. The drawing: 2008 prize winner's tickets were selected by an impartial party, Wasilla mayoral candidate Mr. Marty Metiva. Marty is a great community and youth advocate. We thank him for coming down to Tailgaters and donating his time to our cause again this year. Thank you Marty. OK...
