July 28, 2009 – Mat-Su Sea Hawkers express our gratitude to JPCHawker and his family Paul, Jean, and Natalie for hosting the 2009 Sea Hawker

public BBQ at his lakefront home on Horseshoe Lake.

For those who thought it might rain all day and chose not to come join us, you missed the boat (figuratively and literally). The weather held and was

nice, until well after 5:00 PM.

It was an awesome time for the 25-plus folks who attended and participated in a few games, some Seahawks trivia with prizes, as well as door prizes,

and boat rides.

Speaking for prizes, congratulations to our three trivia prizewinners, Joel Payne – Seahawks Faux Leather Jacket, Harvey Wing – Seahawks Stop

Light, and Nathanial Good – Seahawks 12 Fan Shirt. The questions were not easy, as most stemmed from Seahawks teams long passed. The truly

amazing part is that two of the three winners were from our younger Hawkers, below the 15-year old age. IMPRESSIVE!

All in all, we had great food, libation, and fun. We even had a new family sign up to join the Mat-Su Sea Hawkers. We would like to say welcome to

the Strong family. We look forward to seeing you at Tailgaters on game days.

Speaking of Tailgaters – I am really looking forward to our game-day gatherings and it is almost time for Seahawks football. Seahawks training camp

starts this Friday, July 31, 2009. The first preseason game is only 18 days away, Seahawks at Chargers. Kick-Off is 6:00 PM.
